outside rear view mirrors

My Pacemaker has an aftermarket outside mirror on the left side, probably from a Western Auto store back in the fifties. I would like to get one to put on the right as I feel so blind when trying to check to my right. Auto parts stores don't carry the ones, such as I have, that clamp to the front edge of the door. Does anyone know if such a mirror is available these days?

Ebay has many sellers of those type, However it might be difficult to get an exact match to the one that is on the car now. You might want to purchase a new pair of the same type. Also Paul Schhuster sells a fine pair of original style side mirrors that mount correctly on the door beltline near the vent windows & don't interfere with the vents' operation.
  • I am looking for the drivers side mirror for my 35 cab express terraplane pick also. Press Kale has stated I might never find one. Any help on this endeavor.

I HAVE OUT SIDE REAR VIEW MIRRORS FOR STEP DOWN CARS EMAIL ME IF THATS WHAT YOUR LOOKING FOR
  • Thanks but the pick had drivers side only, round mirror with about an 8 inch leg with 2 holes that bolted to the top of the cab.
  • I don't want to put holes through the body, so I'll look for the clamp on type I now have.
Thanks, Ron, for the suggestion of Ebay.

  • I went onto EBAY and found a mirror nearly a match for the left one. It should be coming in a few days. I hope that with it attatched to the front edge of the right door that I will be able to see it from the driver's position. If not, then I will have to come up with another solution. Perhaps an extension that brings it back far enough to be seen.

Just spotted this on Ebay. A matched set, in good condition. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1930-s-1940-s-Accessory-Door-Mount-Mirror-Pair-GM-Ford-Chevrolet-Mopar-/130675948984 . If that ''nearly a match'' one doesn't work out you could try these.
