Carpeting in my 54 Coupe
What would be the best way to install the carpeting under the clutch and brake pedals? I have tried and then after a while, the carpet then slides down into a folded position. Not only is it unslightly but it is a pain to try and reposition the carpet only to have it slide down again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Richards, The floor covering of my Hornet Special was a rubber mat and fastened to the lower firewall with sheet metal screws in 4 or 5 places. I believe your original carpet was held up there in the same manner and the holes should still be there.

Isn't the front carpeting held in with snaps in '54? I thought I remembered seeing something like that in '54. Little chrome, button head type snaps that you would push on or pull off.0

Hi Bent,
Maybe on the 54 Hornet but on my Special which had 69,000 miles and the wet/damp stinky jute under the old stiff rubber mat, they were screws!
