Pulling the upper rear trim off of a 52 hdtp

First time for me to do this, what is the best way to go about pulling this trim off without screwing it up?

    no rot in the fenders...the door doesn't have much of a sag, the glass is all solid. What's she doing outside?

    Sorry to be off subject. Someone else will pipe in with an answer. I removed mine very very carefully with a screwdriver. If not very careful, it will sort of warp. Someone used to advertise a special tool in the wtn years ago. I never got one.

    Use two putty knives in coordination. The sturdy type with the cut out on the side of the blade will do nicely.

    Masking tape along trim then wide blade putty knife against car. Then slip vinyl siding tool just under trim. Can then be used to gently pry down and off retainers

    The tool I use is a paint scraper. The kind with a long handle you can hold with two hands. And a short 1/8 " or so high scraper about 2 " wide. Get that under the edge and work it along slowly.

    Thanks for all the replies, this gives me a handle on the project now.
    Bull - the car is not mine, it is a friends, has just moved it under a shed to clean out and remove the chrome to prep for paint work. Really solid car with just surface rust.
