Front brake hose replacement

I need to replace the front brake hoses in our '54 Hornet Hollywood. It looks like I would need to remove the inner fender to do this. Is that right or is there a better (easier) way to do it? Thanks.

Why do that? Remove the front wheels one at a time . Pull up on the 'U' shaped retaining clip that attaches the brake hose to the frame rail brake hose tab on the engine bay side. Vise grips are good at this. Take the appropriate wrench and remove the brake hose from the wheel cylinder. Reverse procedure with new hose. Bleed brake system as required. Done.:)0

I did all the hoses on my 52 without lifting the car or pulling wheels.0

It just looked like there wouldn't be enough room to get at the frame rail connection on the passenger side with the Twin-H intake manifold in the way. But, I will give it a go tomorrow. There's nothing like spending Father's Day working on a Hudson!0

Its a little tight, but doable.0
