Part number for 51 hornet wheel cylinders ?

And speaking of wheel cylinders, how about a part number for a Super Wasp wheel cylinder.0
-
Super Wasp should be the same as Hornet. The wasp and pacemaker use smaller brakes and a different wheel cylinder. That one is easier to find.0

NAPA/United 9340 and 9341 are good current numbers for the front. As of 2005, rears are Wagner 59240 and 59241.0
-
I have NAPA/United at 370192 and 370193 for the rear (15/16" cyl bore) as of 3 years ago.

One wheel cylinder for a Hudson Hornet or Super Wasp (part #, United 9340/9341) at my local Napa dealer is around $80.00. Ouch!0

OK, here are the numbers for the 1 inchers but that wasn't the question. I'm buying the Coni-seals at my local parts house for 12-15 bucks a pop. Italian made.

As far as the Pacemakers go, they had the narrow 1.75 shoes on the front. The short wheelbase Wasps went to the wider front shoes same as the longer cars.
Brake Wheel cylinder 50-51 Pacemaker LF-11x1.75 1 1/16in Bendix 3461 EIS 9090
Brake Wheel cylinder 50-51 Pacemaker RF-11x1.75 1 1/16in Bendix 3462 EIS 9091
The pre-stepdown 6 cyl used the 10 inch shoes, while the 8 cyl (and the trucks) used the 11 inch ones. I don't seem to have the numbers for the early 6cyl.
Incidentally, I used readilly available (Auto Zone etc) shoes for the 46/7 in my 36 Terraplane. The cam hole is missing in the secondary, but I drilled one, measuring from the old one.

Why not get in touch with Norm Blackmer in the CIC chapter and buy from him, as he has all the parts needed to do a complete brake job for Hudsons of the 30-40 and 50's All new parts. He's in the WTN. Walt.0

These are the NAPA #'s we have been using. Front 18290 / 18291 Rear 370192 / 370193 The hose # is 11149 for all three. Only the rear shoes are available # TS55 and master cylinder # M30810

Thanks, Walt, for reminding us of someone in the club who sells brake parts for Hudsons (and for that matter, other things to help keep our Hudsons on the road). Sometimes it's easy to overlook this.
