Hudson- Is A Listed Classic And Also Listed Milestone Car
I just got a copy of the Richard Langley and am totally impressed. What an interesting and invaluable book for a Hudsonite. I was reading about the 1948 and 1949 Stepdowns and it mentioned that they are included as part of the "Milestone Car Society" list. This list is comprised of selected cars from 1948 to 1972. Also included as a "Milestone" car are the 51 to 54 Hornets. There aren't very many cars considered as milestone cars. You can see the list on this link. It is interesting.

As far as the text book definition of "Classic", the only Hudson listed there is a particular custom made 1929 model.
Just thought this was all very interesting. Niels

The Milestone Society website however leaves a lot to be desired...I went out there hoping to find out cool information about what it really means to have a "Milestone" car...needless to say I was un-impressed and found the site to be quite annoying due to the flashing page load... [color]darn guess that just proved I'm a nerd!
Still - I'm proud that I have a car on a list that means something to someone - even if I don't0 -

I had a 66 or 67 vw fastback years ago and it was one of the worst cars I'd ever owned! Had the electronic ignition w/ computer which always would die in the middle of an intersection! Guess thats why they went back to dual carbs on the following year.
