Hello!
I have a small thing about my car.
It is a 1939 serie 92 4door
The front interior lights in my car is located above the couch, and is one on each side.
As i have seen and heard, there should be only one light in the front and one light in the rear.
I wonder if this is some option or anything? The lights also have switches in the doors, wich lights them when the doors are opened.
I did not think these where original, exept that there was 6v cables to the switches. So this even must have been done in a early stage, because in the 70's it was convertedto 12volt and most of the wiring exchanged. I can not find the two lights in any picture or wiring diagram, neiher to the switches. (the odds are higher that the switches are later inserted than original) but the mounts for the lights really look like they have always been there. They are welded to the roof.
I wonder if anyone knows anything about these lights?

  • Hudson was allways known for doing what the customer asked. If you wanted a Commodore trim on your Super you could get it. So if you wanted extra lights in the back seat I would think it was easily possible from the factory if you ordered it that way,

As Roger said you could get the cars anyway you wanted My 39 series 92 has only one light in the rear above the back seat. The switch to operate is on the center post on the passanger side. I looked thru my parts manual and my owners manual but cant find the front light you speak of. But that dont mean it wasnt ordered that way. My car has from marker lights. One on each fender and I has an old brouchere that shows them as a dealer in stalled option in 1939.

I have a good spare interior light that goes above the rear seat if anyone is looking for one. Regards Barry ....hetozhudson@gmail.com .....delete the het
