Babbitt bearings--

Some time ago, in the OLD format Forum, there was a discussion regarding shop services and people that still do babbitt bearings. A few were highly recommended and I am looking for addresses and/or locations to contact.

I have searched this NEW Forum as far as this illiterate computer user can take it---and found nothing regarding babbitted bearings, repours and service of same.

Can anyone help me find someone, somewhere that i can contact regarding pouring and re-sizing bearings for an engine I am seriously working with? I'm going to need some major help rather soon!

THANX!!

there is an old experienced one in Escondido, Ca.
he did the bottom end on a big Hudson 6-54 engine, specializes in Model Ts I understand, and did several Hudson engines for me, 6s & 8s.
Also an excellent crank grinding shop there & the 2 places work together which is crucial.
Leaving for Gettysburg early in a.m. but several of my Escondido cronies there, will try & get name of babbit bearing guy, can post here to you maybe from Gettysburg, if not, on Mon.
