John and Laurie Fromm Auto accident
Bad news, John and Laurie went off the road an the way home near Bath NY the car went down a ditch and rolled over landing on the roof. John was taken to Bath Hospital where he is in stable condition. Laurie suffered worse Injuries -- unknown at this time She was unconsious and was Mercy Flighted to Strong Hospital here in Rochester. This information I just got from their Daughter Sue who called me.
I feel bad because we were traveling together. I was in the lead and I saw John behind in between a few cars as we were nearing a rest area. I was up the road a ways before I realized they weren't behind me. I thought they might have pulled in to the rest area. We couldn't communicate because I don't have a cell phone. I was many miles up the road when a man in pickup truck came along side of me yelling what sounded like black car crashed. He pulled in front of me off the road and then told me about the crash. He didn't have anymore info as others were on scene and called.
Will keep you posted Keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

The Fromm's daughter Sue writes this update (as of 5:53 PM):
Dear Hudson Family,
I can not even explain how overwhelmed I am on the amount of email and FB posts my parents have received. Our family is so grateful for all the comments, prayers and well wishes everyone is sending. I have been reading as many as possible to my parents. This year was my husbands first national meet, and now he understands why we all say you are an extension to our family! I will be printing all the emails and FB posts for them to read.
As most of you have heard, my parents we involved in a major auto accident on the way home from the Gettysburg national. The accident happened Sunday somewhere between 11am-12pm in Bath NY. We really don't know many details of the accident beside that something happened and the car rolled over 3 times. I received a phone call from Dad at 12;45 that he was at a hospital in Bath and mom was Mercy Flighted to our local trauma hospital in Rochester. Dad was treated for a minor concussion, some cuts & bruises and was released late afternoon Sunday. Mom has a few more serious injuries. She had surgery for some minor internal injuries that have now been repaired. She has a concussion, a possible MINOR fracture in her wrist, and a tendon and ligament damage in her know that they will fix at a later time. She is pretty banged up too. People have been asking about sending flowers or cards but at this time she can not get anything at the hospital. If you would like to send a card you can send it to their home address:

Thanks for the update. My apologies for posting wrong information early on regarding her injuries. I am glad that it is not that serious. Kinda like the TV News, they report wrong information until they get the real facts.
I talked to John yesterday and I will call him later today also. I see Sue posted on facebook that the diarama Laurie won came through unscathed. I wouldn't have thought that as John and I placed it in the rear seat and it just sat there. As some people would believe maybe John was watching over it all.

WNY/ONTARIO CHAPTER0 -
Over the many years I've been an HET member I have read about accidents involving Hudson's. I cannot think offhand of any fatalities - indeed in several cases the cars were totally destroyed but the occupants literally walked away. The Hudson factory built them right.
John and Laurie's accident continues that story - apparently a major roll over, landing on it's roof and they escaped with no really serious injuries.
My thoughts and prayers are with John and Laurie - and their family. There is nothing worse than that phone call saying "We've been in an accident........................" Here's hoping for quick recoveries.

I met John for the first time in Gettysburg and saw him working for days, early in the morning and late at night to produce a quality DVD for us to remember. Will buy one for sure. And Laurie worked very hard on that quilt. I admire them both. Glad they ended up with less than what could happen. Somebody's watching! Michel0

I have not meet John but have purchased National CD and other stuff from him. I was concerned to learn of his accident and relieved John and Laurie survived the accident. Get well soon.

Just got a call from John that they took Laurie out of ICU and put her in a semi-private
room. So she must be improving. No other updates at this time.
