Convertible for sale

Got a call from a fella that I do not know. His name is Randy Hudson and he has been trying to sell a '51HPCv for some time. He is not a computer person at all. The car is in bad to worse shape, looks as though there is some frame rot, body panel rot, however it appears most of the convertible-specific parts are present. It is a restorable step-down convertible and could probably be had for a few thousand. Someone, sometime in the past took pictures and listed it on E-Bay for the owner, where it obviously did not sell.
It seems to me here is an opportunity for someone who has desired one of these great automobiles to save another Hudson and get in reasonably inexpensively. It will take 30-40K minimum to do a decent restoration, but the challenge and possibility is there.
Here is a link to the car:

The owner's contact information: Randy Hudson 785-233-0419
The car is located in Topeka, KS.
Additionally, if you look closely at the photos, there appears to be other old cars/trucks there. Might even be a Hudson truck in one of the photos, which may, or may not be available. This is just a lead . . .
Randy informed me that he wanted to put an ad in the WTN, but was too late for the latest issue, which makes me believe he is more readily trying to move this car and would, potentially, be in a better frame of mind, to "deal". This is simply my observation and opinion, by the way. I personally would pay around 5K for the car if I were in the market for another step-down convertible.

I was afraid of something like this, but, again, I do not know the owner, just posting the lead . . . .0 -
I talked to the owner again. He has informed me that all of the convertible top pieces, are indeed, there. There are 1 or 2 pieces of the driver side irons that have been located and go with the car. Additionally, an NOS hood with the original facotry stickers go with the car (not pictured).
The car is no longer located in the yard where it is pictured. Subsequently, none of the other cars are available. The E-Bay ad and the yard where the car is pictured belonged to the former owner.
Randy, the owner, has told me that this project is too much to tackle, and that he has located a 37HPU, that is the object of his real desire, as he is apparently a pick-up man, hence the sale of this PM, along with a '38 F*** PU he has for sale.
Any questions, please feel free to contact me or the owner.
