place or way to put in a lot of photos?

Guys - in lieu of a number of requests of me to post photos & the sometimes inability to do so, want to ask advice. I have hundreds of photos, taken over the last 50+ years at Nationals, collections, meets that I have in albums my former wife made up. I can easily scan these but not sure where would be easy place to put them on the internet, or how to do it. I do have a google website page with some photos already there via Picasa.
Let me know what would be the best way to do this. I've done some scanning & know it will take me many hours & days to take these photos out of the albums & do this but have many good photos of very rare models I think many of you would enjoy seeing.
Looking forward to hearing from you - if you wish to contact me directly: oldhudsons@aol.com

I don't know how easy the site is to use, but if Rick recommended the above site, I don't see how you could go wrong.
And yes, that's an incredible undertaking and I'd be thrilled and honored if you took the time to do that, Pete. Heck, I still think you should write a book . . .0 -
thanks a lot guys for the suggestions, I'll see what I can do.
This is the website where I have pictures now, see if you can access it:

ah, that worked - maybe I'll just add photos to that as I scan them but not sure if they have a memory limit; onward & upward!0

Hi Pete,
Brilliant set of photo's ; loving it!
As for the memory limit ; that's something we all suffer from these days :-)0 -
OK, a slow process as I'm editing them in Picasa after scanning then uploading them to web album -
just uploaded an '09 roadster, a '12 touring, and a '19 speedster & will spend the rest of this morning, 'til I leave for bridge, doing more - some photos have details about them on the back which I'm writing down (such as the '12 bought at one of Harrah's auctions in '78 by a guy in "Frisco")0 -
just added another '12 touring and several photos, inc. engine & dash, of a great '13 model 6-54 which has it's original Delco-Remy (1st year & very complex) starting system. The 6-54 engine the biggest Hudson ever offered, dwarfs a Hornet (think it has over 400 "cubes").0

Great photos Pete! loved the photo of the 36 English Touring out of the Carolinas. Great car as are all on the site. Perhaps some day my car will be there....0

As Brownie said - great photo's. Many, many thanks for taking the time to get these online. I found the Dillinger bullet riddled '34 interesting - I found an article about that incident and published in one of the New England Chapter newsletter when I was editor. The dealer reclaimed the car and put a sign on it to the effect it was shot up but still running.

I should add to this thread, to tell you all that the MyGarage material is still at hand, and will be placed on the ClassicCar site at some point in the future. A photo gallery for owners and enthusiasts has always been in the plans, it's just a matter of managing our resources. A new version of the ClassicCar site is on the way, and that has been a bit of a manpower hog of late.
Ben will have more to say on MyGarage/photo gallery on the future, but I thought I'd drop in before I left and let you know.0 -

Hello all,
My name is Rachael and I work for ClassicCar. I am a designer here and want to make sure that you are getting the best possible user experience with the features that you want to see in the website. I have had a talk to Ben and we will be integrating this feature back into the website in the next couple of months. I want to make sure you guys are happy, so please if you could offer me some tips on features you want, I will do my best to integrate them into my design for this section. Unfortunately I did not see the MyGarage section of the website before it was changed so I don't know exactly what was in it, but I will do the best I can! I would love to hear from you,
Rachael

I have quite a few more to come it's just very time consuming to take them out of albums, some of the photos taken as long as 50 years ago, scan them & then I run them thru Picasa to adjust, crop, try to make look better, then upload to the web album.
There are a lot of small old b & w that just wouldn't come out so not scanning them.
Remainder will be from approx. '38 up.
TY for the compliment.0 -
Good work Pedro, great pictures! R0
-
Pete your work getting these photo's posted is so very much appreciated. The shere number of Hudson products you have a connection with is awsome. I look forward to what is yet to come. buzz0
-
Wow! I just could not stop and looked non-stop at all the 254 pictures. Great job Pete and thank you so much! Michel0

OK, think I'm done, finally.
I just posted these photos: '50 Hudson stock certificate, '52 C8 sd., '30 Hudson phaeton, '32 Hudson brougham & '29 Hudson club sd., '26 Hudson Anderson bodied cp. (one-off), photo with 2 ex-Harrah's '33 T8 convertibles, '51 HH, '54 Jetliner 2-door interior, '49 factory made PU, '38 H-T PU, and a '50 C6 conv.
I also tried to arrange all of the photos chronologically so that if you're only interested in one era of production don't need to look at all the photos except for the top 3-4 rows which are Hudsons I owned.
Have a look & have fun - if have any questions about any of them ask. I may add more to the description at some later time.0
