At the end of October our N.Z. H.E.T. Club has organised another back country tour. Those of you who get the W.T.N. . will have seen pics of this type of event. Most of our cars are of the "vintage" era (1920's-'30s). If you want a real motoring experience, why not join us. There will be seats available, and even cars to drive if necessary. culminating in our annual meeting, and then another back-road tour on the way home again. Why not check your favourite airline for good fares and come and join us.

Geoff I am a little concerned are you suggesting that there will be gravel roads on this tour I am a little concerned that my car will get dirty. I mat have to re assess my plans.

Trevor, you will just have to grit your teeth and bear up to it! You can even use my car wash brush if you wish.
Sounds like it will be yet another great trip - looking forward to it. ;;)
  • Love seeing the meets in the land of Oz and NZ! Wish that I could go! Keep posting so we can live vicariously through you. Pictures are always amazing too.

Trevor, just for you we've arranged a tour with no corners, no hills, no gravel, no scenery, no wet weather. Just book into the local rest home and reserve your mobile scooter.

Geeez, you Kiwi's have all the fun!!!!!!!!! There are a lot of Hudson owners here in this colony that are having heart palpatations looking at the pictures you posted!!!! A lot of owners here in the U. S. won't take their cars out of the garage if it appears that rain or bad weather is in the offing. Hell, there's a lot that refuse to take their cars out among the great unwashed!!!!! LOL

Interesting - that 4-door with somebody leaning into it is wearing chains on the rear tyres. From the looks of the mud on the tyres they were probably needed.

Doubt you'd be able to ford the "stream" we have around here - Old Miss gets pretty deep, tho I think there are spots on the Loosahatchee you could drive thru.

Thanks for all the pics guys - using Hudson products as they are supposed to be used -- driven!!!!!!!!!! Take note Yanks, next time you think it might rain on your precious baby. That photo of the car in the middle of a stream proves they won't melt.

    Hi Alex.
I was in the green car with the chains it was very boggy even with the chains we struggled and we are also in the car in the stream. It is a 29 Nash special six. Twin ignotion ect. I opened the doors to hitch up the tow rope and the water flowed through the car. When it was new it was a taxi so it has done a lot of miles. We have drowned this car on numerous occasions but it always starts again after drying it out. Geoff what a great idea what colour flag.
