I, also, have dealt with them for many years. In contrast to "2 many projects experience" with them I've always found their prices fairly realistic compared to dealing with a lot of amateurs and hobbiests in the business. I've always found it tiring to deal with the guys who think that they have the very last wheel cylinder or thing-a-ma-bob-made-of-gold that was ever made for your obscure car. I like the idea that I can pick up the phone any time during business hours and have a converstaion with someone who won't waste my time with silly conversation about what a Hudson is, his uncle's bathtub Nash or why I haven't pulled that old flathead in favor of something that comes in a crate. These are auto parts pros, they know what they are talking about and they have all of the necessary parts books to figure things out. They ship things all over the globe, so there's no whinning about when they'll have time to get to the Post Office. The guys at Northwestern have bought, transported and stored a lot of leftovers from other auto parts stores over the years, and I say let them make a reasonable profit. They're the nearest thing any of us will ever find that's like calling a Napa in 1960. They've never disappointed me and I've always encouraged others to call them when they need something.
