Harmon Cars & Parts to be liquidated - Please read!
I am posting this on behalf of Dick Riggs. If you know anything about the late, great Jim Harmon, you will know that this is a great opportunity...
Gentlemen:
The Harmon property has been sold and the magnitude of the remain inventory has completely overwhelmed the family emotionally, physically and financially.
I have been working with their lawyer, and NW Chapter member, Doug Bomarito and with a longtime friend and certified old car appraiser, Don Peterson to establish a value on the parts and cars.
Don (the appraiser) wants to run an expedited ad in Hemming’s Motor News. This would leave the Hudson community in a 2 or 3 month time lag. The text of the ad would contain the appraised value and solicit, probably, a $10.00 fee for a CD and/or brochure and a request for offers or?
Please contact me at: 503-286-2017 or 503-707-9689 or email me: raftwido@spiritone.com
Thank you for your consideration, Dick Riggs on behalf of the Jim Harmon Family

does this mean it will only be sold as a "lump sum" deal, rather than an auction of the cars individually & parts perhaps in groups or ???0

I don't think it's a "lump sum" deal, but best to contact Dick Riggs right away for the true poop...0

I live fairly close to Jim's place and went there a number of times for parts. I certainly hope that a Hudson person steps up to buy the inventory. It is a virtual warehouse/museum of old Hudson parts and Jim knew where every nut and bolt was for whatever Hudson.
Doug0 -
in addition to the parts, which can be of great value, he had cars stashed all over the neighborhood! Do they have an inventory of the cars that will be for sale?
Frankly not sure if anyone in HET has the $$$ and the ROOM to house all his stuff (I'd sure hate to try & move all that, take several truck trailers at least NOT counting the cars).
The few who might, like Eldon, if you consider what he already has, & restored on display, why would he want any of Harmon's cars?
Will be an interesting outcome.0
