311040 cam
Was just wondering if this cam gives more power at low RPM's or high RPM's or exactly what does it do.I havd a 311040 in the 54 Hornet when I bought it . The car had a single 2 barrel carb and regular size valves. but 1 of the lobes was flat. I found a nother 311040 and big hudson valves and also installed a Randy Maas timming chain. It fit like a glove thanks Randy. Hudsonly Ray

You can get some more input to be sure but it may be a good idea to have someone measure the lobes. I understand Hudson re ground some of them in the 308 to get higher lift,

'most any performance cam produces its power benefits at somewhat higher rpm's while reducing slightly at the low end. The big difference is just where in the higher-up range that benefit occurs.0
