Dash Removal?

I'm in the process of converting to 12 volts on my '52 Hornet... Can someone please tell me how to remove the dash? I need to access all of the accessories and I've started to unbolt misc. screws but I would like to avoid unbolting anything I don't need to. Thanks

It isn't necessary to remove the dash to do the work that you want to do. I recently installed a new wiring harness in my '50C6 sedan. It is necessary to lay on your back under the dash for long hours to accomplish this work and that gets real tedious, but I would avoid removing the dash, unless you plan to have the wood graining redone or repainted.

taking the dash out is simple so not much to worry about I powder coated mine and glued a vinyl cover on top and found it to be easy
  • Richard E. .. Did you use a voltage reducer for each gauge, and did you replace every wire on every accessory?
