rear end gear

I have a 66 Plymouth fury rear end to put in the 40 Hudson truck it has
3.22 gear would that gear be okay or would i need a different size gear
for it.
Its a 6 cylinder Thanks Charles

    You might find that ratio a bit high for a 212 engine in a truck. I'd go with something around 3.5 to 3.7

    I don't know what part of the country you are in, but climbing a slight up grade could cause some lugging. Not a good thing with the splasher engines. I agree with Park, try for something a bit higher.
