OK, where does this go on my Hudson

My good friend Glen Johnson gave this to me a few days ago. He said I had to have it for my Hudson. I have never seen one before. Any guesses....?

    How big is it? Looks like it could be a hat. . . but nothing to scale it to.

    Any little part that I can't put a name to is called a doovissary. As in "put that little doovissary right on the end of that rod, there."
