Yellowed aged walls versus WHITEWALLS

Does any one know of a magic solution that will get old yellow ages white-walls back to WHITE. I have tried bleach, bleach=wite wall cleaner, brillo pads and can't seem to aged yellow look out of my tires. My old 46 Hudson would look alot snappier with white wall. Thanks JR new guy

    If they are that old that they won't clean up, I doubt they are safe to drive on. Most tires are not safe after 5 years old. Do your family a favor and buy some new tires.

    Armor All Cleaner and a Stiff bristled nylon brush. Spray it on, let it soak for a minute or 2, re-wet if needed and scrub away. Best stuff I have ever used for cleaning the sidewalls and raised white letters anyway.

    Repaint em with a brush and latex house paint. You'll be surprised, and no one will guess.

    That easy. Spray them down with Easy-Off oven cleaner. Then drive the car down and pressure wash the tires off. This will remove all the oxidized (yellow) rubber and leave the nice white, soft rubber. Just be careful not to get any of it on your aluminum parts.

    Never tried it, but I've read of a number of folks who've had good success with lacquer thinner. And REALLY be careful you don't get it on the car!
