master cylinder

I am restoring a 53 Jet, I have put all new brake lines, rebuilt wheel and master cylinder, The brakes are pretty good. I noticed the other day that there was a small puddle of brake fluid on the ground below the master cylinder. I re-tighted all the fittings, and it still does it. It looks like it might be coming from the vent hole on the cap that you take off to fill the cylinder. What good cause that??

Thanks, Barry S.

Could you not wipe the m.c. and adjacent brake lines clean, then go back later and trace where the fluid is coming from?
  • I am pretty sure that is comming out of the vent hole. but I don't know why.

    Thanks, Barry
