Anyone have good part numbers for the wheel cylinders on a 46-47? Ebay has some at well over $100.00 each.. Ouch!

Dave, I have Left: 2940 and Right: 2941. These are NAPA/United and Wagner numbers.

    Brake Wheel cylinder Coni-Seal WC13600 40-54 Hudson L-11x1.75 15/16 in Bendix 33600 Midas 1024 Wagner 59240 Auto Spec 84001 EIS 9150
    Brake Wheel cylinder Coni-Seal WC13601 40-54 Hudson R-11x1.75 15/16 in Bendix 33601 Midas 1025 Wagner 59241 Auto Spec 84002 EIS 9151

The Wagner numbers match yours Brumac but they're transposed. I've been buying the Coni-seals for $10-$15 each. I think some of these eBay sellers are buying them cheap and trying to make a killing to the unwary. Somebody's got a master cyl on there for $150 and you can buy them at NAPA for $80

OK Guys, So I can assume the WC 13600 and WC13601 can be bolted in with no alterations?
I am passing this information to someone else and don't want to cause him any more problems.. LOL
  • Super Dave & Uncle J - WC 13600 & 13601 are 15/16" bore (for '48 to '54 rear) . '36 to '47 are 1" bore - front & rear. Norm
  • Super Dave - In my old Backus Swaps Manuel I found #s 9336 & 9337 for '46 & '47. I looked them up in my Wagner catlog and they look like they may be right. Rock Auto lists them under the Wagner #s for about $26. I havent bought or used them so I dont know for sure they are right. Norm
  • Why fool around when you can get them from Norm Blackmer a Hudson man in the Califorinna Inland Chapter at 909-984-5544. All new parts. Walt.

Well It's a little more complicated than just "Fooling around". He wants to attend a meet in south Florida this weekend. We are trying to get a pair for the front to get the car roadworthy. Shipping from California would no doubt be way too delayed. I will relay the phone number to Bob if he doesn't manage to get it fixed by Thursday, perhaps he can order them from Norm and be ready for the next meet.. Thanks, Dave

OK my info is muddled. On furthur checking my list and my parts, and the motors manual for 36 thru 42 All brake cylinders are 1 inch...and I believe thru 47. That goes for 6 and 8 cyl, which carry 10 and 11 inch brakes respectively. Trucks are 11 inch also

Wagner F(WC)9336 and Wagner F(WC)9337 are 1 inch and have straight hose exitsWagner F78974 and Wagner F78975 are also 1 inch, but have angled hose exits to miss the machinery. Can't remember whether front or back but I'll check the truck tomorrow.

(Edited tomorrow) I checked the 36T, the 40 Coupe and the 47 PU this morning. All of them have plenty of clearance for the straight hose. Looks like the angle will work also but might make a tight hose in the front.

I think it's important to get the right numbers so we can pick these things up at the local parts store by tomorrow or the next day instead of a week or so via mail.

That said, I had some mixed stock in the F78974 and 5 from the factory so watch it. Some of them had straight hose exits.
