Hi guys, looks like a very nice car. Would have like to have pictures of the undercarriage. I showed it to my friends who said I should buy this one instead of restoring mine. But I want to work badly on mine...Would like to know anyway what you think about this one? NICE CAR.......A TAD OVERPRICED ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU CONSIDER THAT IT WILL PROBABLY SELL FOR MORE THAN THE CURRENT BID PRICE.
IF YOU ARE REALLY INTERESTED I HAVE A VERY NICE 54 WASP THATS 95% FINISHED AND I WOULD CONSIDER SELLING IN THE $13000-$14000 RANGE GIVE OR TAKE0 -
I have to close my eyes every time I see a 54... I promised myself that i would do this 54 Super Wasp ( on my avatar). Cannot begin within the next 6 or 8 months though...Lot of work to do to finish a house I restored and that I will sell next spring. This gives me an idea. There should be a spot on this forum where we could post a Hudson we would want to sell. I would prefer buying from one of the guys here instead of Ebay. Just curious...Is your Wasp the one on your avatar? The picture is small...Michel0

Really nice looking '54 Hornet. I'm watching this one as I'm curious to see what the eventual sellling price will be. Yes, I too would like to see a shot of the underframe, especially the rear perimeter frame.0

No interior shots. Might be hiding an aftermarket interior.0

I think my next project will be a 54. I like this one alot--not ready to get one yet.... I also seem to do better with a full build rather than starting with something that looks this good. If I got this one I might never do anything with it...0

Well It looks like a nice car and from my perspective ..A good price. Door panels appear nice as well as the dash. Exterior speaks for it's self. Assumeing the mechanicals are good...You could not turn a rag into this condition for less then 15 k.
I just sold my 49 Superdore for $18,500. (my old avatar) Had much more than that invested and it didn't look as good as this 54.0 -
@SuperDave, was wandering what happened to your 49. You had done a great job with it. I'm glad I could see it in Gettysburg. Michel0

This one sold for $17,700. I think that was a fair price for a very nice car. I wish I could just go out and buy something done. I AM TOO CHEAP!!!0

That very nice '54 car was sold by a member of the SoCal Chapter.0 -
It was, indeed, very nice! If I would have bought it, I would have like to drive it home. ( In this case, a 5 days journey). But I promised myself that I would restore my 54 first... Michel. And I know it will cost more than $17,700. And it will keep me busy for a few years...0

OK, this is addictive. I bought a 54 Hornet Coupe today. I am hooking up the trailer to go get it this weekend. I have no idea why I am excited--I just signed up for a full restoration and a great deal of work... Yea!!!!!0

Brownie, we don't need any pills...And don't forget the pictures! Michel0

Right!! Have to remember to take the camera for those fantastic "barn photo" shots? I'll get some up next week when I get home. This is just like Christmas--early.....0
-
Brownie, does this mean you won't be in Laughlin (AVI Resort) this week end? Is this one of the coupes that is being sold by Lee?0
-
Hi Vic, sent you a PM. ( But I'm not sure if it's really a PM...Michel0

Vic, I am scheduled to pick up the car Saturday just after lunch. Lee did broker the deal and it is the one that I expect was the light blue with the blue interior. It is the 54 Hornet Special club Coupe. It is a 308 with automatic. No Twin H. If all goes well, we will be back on the road in time to spend Saturday night in Laughlin. Otherwise, we will head back to Utah through Las Vegas.0

Congratulations on your new project. Without a project.. what would we do??
Oh ... and leave the two bbl on it. Twin H can be twin Hell.. LOL0
