Does this bring back any memories for anyone. This was at the home where I picked up my 54 Hudson. Kinda reminded me of when I was in South Carolina in 1967 and they were filming a movie with Sharon Tate. Can anyone give me a year on the car under the lemon tree and make, year, ect. on the California Long Board?

So, no one knows the year of this Hudson? Or no one is talking?

Brownie when I was there to pick up my 47' I checked that cars vin too out of curiousity. It started with 171.

So my guess is... It is a 1947 Hudson Super Six Sedan

Thanks, anyone want to take a guess on the longboard?
  • The longboard is a pretty standard shape from the mid 60's era. Bunger, Bing, Hanson, gregg noll, webber surfboards, G&S all had similar shapes just to name a few. Or it could be a backyard shape... any logos, names, or dimensions?

No such luck, However, since I have had G&S before I ground down the area just below the front of the fin to look for a SN (G&S did this) . I found a number and matched it with the G&S folks and it matches the number of an early production G&S board most likely from their third year of production. (early 60's.)
  • Awesome... that log is a real gem as there is huge market... clean her up and make her a wall hanger, heck... don't do that. Ride it!
