Apparently this one is shot and probably not rebuildable.
Wiperman.com does not have one. The parts book list the part # as SK-25 Motor assembly all models.

Did Mr. Ficken (aka wiperman) say he couldn't rebuild yours?

Try Ebay. A couple years back I sent mine to Ficken and he advised me he could no longer rebuild it (what happens: the body warps after a number of years). I went onto Ebay and found a brand new one in the box for about $40! I installed it, and it goes like gangbusters!

The second option, of course, is to ask around for a used one, and have it rebuilt. But don't offer a lot of money for it, because that one, too, may be warped.

He said he doubted it could be rebuilt because of the warping issue, but to send it to him to look over. In my second call to him he had found an nos SK 25-1 which is listed as for the 39 Hudson. He is going to check it against the SK 25 to see if I can use it.

A lot of those old Trico motors are essentially identical except for the knob linkages. It could be (for example) that the Sk25-1 had a dashboard knob that was located 1/2" from the knob in 1937. In that case, you may be able to remove the linkage from the 1939 and replace it with the one from 1937, and you'd be back in business.

Richard Fricken has the original one now and I am waiting to hear back from him on status.
  • Be carefull what Bill & Charlie has on Ebay. They dont seem to care how they list stuff.
"NOS Pacemaker fender 1948-54 " just as an example. Who knows what it realy fits,
