Just picked up my copy of the February issue of Collectible Automobile at Barns and Noble with Carl Webers car on the cover. Can't wait to read it.

Just got the mag due to munificence of old Hudson pal, R. E.
Found article interesting & thorough also attribution to Paul's car has his last name misspelled.
Most interesting car & photo to me was the purported '34 "roadster" (2 pics, red, Wash. plates). By definition, at least with more car co's. a roadster had 2 major body differences between it and a conv. coupe: 1. a fold down front windshield (which Hudson didn't always do) 2. no windows in front door. I wish there had been photos of the interior of this car as I don't recall ever seeing a '34 "roadster", & I assume they made one in the T line if they did in the Hudson.
Lots of good photos, sure some nice cars!

Dr. Bob Blake has this one in his museum outside of Allentown, PA. Has snaps for side curtains, etc., like a proper roadster.

Park - it's the same car but in picture above & in mag. article it has Washington plates on it.
OK, if side curtains rather than roll up windows, a roadster, Hudson version.

I didn't realize Hudson made '30's-era roadsters! I reckon I've never actually seen one, before.

Sure you have, RL - there were at least a couple in Pontiac in 2009.

Hmmm ... did Dr. Blake sell the car since the Gettysburg National? It was in his showroom then.

The Washington plates are 1974 vintage. Car picture is at Dr Blake's.

    Very nice roadster

  • Those Washington plates are 1934, not 1974.

A past member of the HET Club who passed away several years ago had a '34 coupe that he made into a roadster. His name was Wes Clifton and he lived in Washington. I remember he used the windshield frame from a '34 Terraplane roadster body that had been hot roded years ago. Could be the same car. The car was red.
