I suggest going with Randy Maas Ignition www.21stcenturyHudson.net or Ron Fellows ... Ignition hudnutz39@sbcglobal.net0
-
What does that consist of? This us my first time hearing of those. I've never seen it on his wbsite0

What the Maas' sell are Pertronix points replacements. They replace the mechanical points with an electrical pickup. Ron sells a GM HEI unit worked over to fit the Hudson six.
The points can trigger most of the multi-spark ignition boxes out there as well, acting as just a switch. You can also trigger most of the early OEM electronic units with the points. I have a HEI setup under the hood, and the Ford TFI is easier still.0 -
I have a pertronix setup now. I'm trying to figure what to do for the 308 I'm building. Clifford said that its something with the advance curve of the unilite 6 cyl distributors that is different then stock. He said the v8s need hotter spark where 6cyls need the spark sooner. And that advancing the timing couldn't compensate. I bought a msd 6al before speaking with him and he said return it and just run that distributor with a good coil and upgraded wires. But I also see Mallory has a 6al.0

My father has done this on 8-10 vehicles over the years especially on the performance hudsons. He may let go of one since we got two set up in stock vehicles and can change them to pertronix. His email is maasfh@centurylink.net0
