New idea to power 12 volt stuff.

:D:D Yup. I have perfected a new fix to the old 6 volt blues. I decided to use a 12 volt solar charger panel, which you can find on e bay for about 20-25 bucks. Place it flat in that huge rear deck. Mount a 12 volt battery in the trunk. Run the + wire of the charger cord to one of the terminals on a Single Pole Double throw toggle switch. Connect the battery + to the center, and the other point on the switch goes to the + of the radio or whatever you wish to power. When the switch is in the {power the radio and stuff} position the charger is out of the circuit, and Visa Versa in the other position. A 6 volt relay will do the same thing automatically, so the charger is out of the circuit when the ignition is on.

It works great and the chargers are about 1.7 watts/ 300 Millivolts, so they charge fairly fast.

Another backyard, [Garage Logic] discovery by the Hudson guys. This will work for all 6 volt cars so lets keep it under wraps for now, or the Price of chargers will jump to $50 over night. I can make up a simple diagram and add it to our big book of conversions stuff. ;)
