Spent today picking over back-up CD;s and found the CD with the factory photos on it. Also found a couple with International meet pics. As follows:

2004 Pittsburg, PA
2009 Pontiac, MI
2011 Oklahoma City, OK
1919-1932 Essex factory photos
Hudson Ambulances in Australia.

Got some more on there that I'll be posting in the coming days - finding some time since I'm about out of material to scan for the online library.

Enjoy the photo's.

Alex you say: "1919-1932 Essex factory photos" but the album is headed "1918-1919 Essex"

I did enjoy the album anyhow!! Thanks for them.

    Alex-

Oddly enough, #11 of 12 in the '48-'54 album, is a picture of my car! I have the original hardcopy of this photo. This was taken back in the mid-late 80's, before she went into her current transformation. Can you tell me info about the picture that I don't all ready know? I used this photo to help track down the owner of the car at the time and he, in turn helped me locate the original owner (I'm the fourth).

    Pete-
YES! POST PHOTOS! I'm sure most everyone would love to see photos of past Nationals and certainly some from 50 years ago, I know I would.

Pete, yes anyone can post photo's in the Gallery - the sages say "Bringeth on the images!!" It is so simple - just follow the instructions on the intro page (I printed them out to make it easier to follow them). Just two things - once you've created your album always click "Save Changes" or else what you've done won't show up. And the other is once you've got your album set up and ready to go in the gallery click on the "Publish" button. You can also add notes in the Caption line when you get your photos uploaded to the site. I've done this with the 1918-1932 Essex album and will update other factory photo albums later.

For everybody's info - there is another photo gallery on the site. Click on INFO and near the bottom is an album site called Photo Gallery - Multiply. I think this would be a great venue for those who want to publish photo's of their restoration work leaving the main Gallery for pictures of completed projects and other albums like those that are on there now. Note: Multiply photo site is going away (was supposed to close on December 1st) - Do not use it to store your photos any longer!

ESSX28-1 - I corrected the title to 1919-1932; thank you for pointing out that error. I'm sure there may be others - I've been resurrecting files that are 7, 8 years or more old.

Russell - I don't have any other info on Doc. In fact I can't remember now where that photo came from as it's been a while since I acquired it.

Great photos! I don't know if it's something I'm doing wrong or what. But when I went over there I couldn't see page two or three in any album? I'd click on the two and I'd get an "error on page" message. I was in both the 1909-1919 and the 1919-1932 albums. Both of which have about forty-two photos, I could only see the first page.

Alex - I have a web album: https://picasaweb.google.com/oldhudsons/peteshudsonpics, can I just put it in there or do I have to somehow transfer pics from it into an HET album???

Pete, that question you should address to Aaron of Jon Battle.

Hi, Pete -- Jon Battle here, one of the group that has been getting the new photo gallery up and running. I'm not aware of any easy way to transfer photos from your web album, but I think you'll find that it's pretty darned easy to upload photos to a newly-created album. It's also easy to re-arrange them in a particular order once uploaded, and to add captions. You'll encounter complete instructions after clicking the link at the HET homepage ("GALLERY"). If you get stumped, e-mail me at HETdetailed@verizon.net (delete the HET first).

If possible, try to have a theme for each of your albums.

Sadly, we have no way to arrange the albums into some sort of categorization system (for easy access by folks browsing the gallery). I've suggested incorporating a "keyword" in album titles (you'll see that in the introduction) so that (for example) someone could type "Historical" in the gallery's search engine, to find all the album collections of historical photos. As opposed to, say, "Restoration" which would document the progress of one of your car restorations.

This might, or might not work. Without a system, we'll have dozens of random albums with no rhyme or reason. If this keyword concept fails, you can always go in and change the title of your album later!

Like bent metal, I can only see the first page - could this be an IE8 browser issue?
  • I had the same problem with only getting the first page . But got around it by clicking on the bottom right photo to bring it full page then clicking to the "Next" photo. I just kept doing this and got to see all three pages - one photo at a time .

I have no trouble using the page numbers using Firefox, whatever the latest revision is - I go from 1 to 2 to 3 etc with no problem.

bent metal and ernie - it appears to be a browser problem. I went to the Gallery using IE8 and also could not move from page 1 to another page.

Calling Dr. Cooper, Calling Dr. Cooper...........clean-up in aisle IE8, please.

In the meantime I finished putting captions in the 1909-1919 Hudson album. Be working on others in the coming week.

    Bent Metal, Ernie and Roger:

Regarding your problem changing pages: does it have something to do with the "New Album", "User Settings" and "Search Box" window that opens adjacent to the "page buttons" whenever your cursor hovers near there?

I find that, as I move my cursor to (for example) box "2" (representing page two) a little box opens right next to it with the above-mentioned buttons in it, which almost obliterates boxes 1 and 2. If I click on 2, the screen does NOT shift to page to. Instead a little box entitled "EDIT PHOTO SETTINGS" opens up where the "2" was!

I get this in Firefox. Looks like a defect in the software, or maybe the program was designed to work with another browser!
  • As I recall the number clicked on would highlight just like it should . And the moving dots indicate it was working / thinking as it should . But my internet modem indicated no data transmition and indeed nothing further happened.

To emphasize - I mistakenly posted that it might be an idea to post general info pictures of restorations, etc, on the alternative site, Multiply. I did not know at that time that Multiply was about to shut down.
I apologize for my error and hope nobody has used it.
