For those into the 55 Hornet's, I think this is a really special item. Never find one like this again. Someone needs to buy it for HET historical archives. Niels

    Interesting. Looks Like A Mockup But All Features Are The Same As Eventual Production Model, Except The 54 Full Disc Hubcaps. Looks Like The Old Turntable On The Roof Of Hudson In Detrait, Although You Would Think The Styling Was All Done At Kenosha, At The Amc )nash) Factory, Bill Albright

    I always understood that AMC styling was within the AMC Plymouth Road complex in Detroit. Notice how they seemed to have this mock-up hunkered down so it would look low & sleek. Too bad they couldn't have done something about that when they actually designed it. I was at the 1955 dealer anouncement in Detroit. They went so far as to actually have the cars tied down so they would look low like the step-down models did.

    I always wondered what Frank Spring thought of that line of cars. I do not see much info on how he felt. I know he was caught up with the Italia at the time. He can't have been happy.
