Need 1 hydraulic lifter, cam possibly.

Pulling apart my 56 motor, I find the #1 ex lifter has a chunk busted off the cam face. That cam lobe has been worn down about 0.08" too, to ~1.47". It's a bummer too, the cam, bearings, and other lifters look great otherwise. I have my lifters and cam from my original 52 motor, not out yet, I could use. But was looking forward to hydraulics... Anyway, someone willing to part with a single hydraulic lifter? Good used cam? Probably not recommended to run the 52 cam with hydraulics, huh?

I didn't realize that was a 56 motor (thought it was a 55). Were you able to get the broken bolt out? What number is on the cam?0

So did I till I got after the valve covers. Haven't gone after the bolt yet, been hitting it with penatrant. I think the cam has the 'common' number- 309742 - if I remember right (not in front of me). Looks like the lifter was bad from the factory, the way it broke.
So far so good, looks really good so far. Other than the lifter/cam issue.0 -
You need the lifter body, not the hydraulic plunger. Aren't all the lifter bodies the same? Maybe not.0

Eh... The more I think about it the less I want to mix-and-match so to speak. I'll probably run my set from the 52. Unless I can find a matching set that's been kept track of.0
