Technical Bulletins

I received an email this morning from a slightly confused HET member. A friend had sent him a tech bulletin that looked factory issued, at least in the header. The answer lies in this story.
Back in the 1970's, while he was editor of the WTN, Art Adams published a series of technical bulletins and placed them in issues of the WTN as center folds. These bulletins followed the format of Hudson issued tech bulletins. The bulletins Art published ran from TS 77-01 to around TS 78-01. I think it was Jack Miller who took over as WTN editor and he continued the practice for a short time.
In the early 90's I had a bunch of material that I didn't know what to do - so I borrowed Art's format and issued a bunch of tech bulletins. \
Almost all of these bulletins have been saved in the online library filed under "Other Hudson-Essex-Terraplane Literature". I say almost because a few of Arts dealt with material that was good only in that time frame. These bulletins, by the way, can be downloaded, printed out and placed in a notebook, if you so desire.
Go to - http://hetclub.org/burr/lithomepage.htm to see these bulletins.
And, by the way, this is the type of material I would love to get my hands on for the library - somebody must have Hudson issue bulletins

Hi Alex Have you considered scanning the bulletins Hudson published for their dealers
"The Hudson Triangle"? Carl Weber has the most complete set I know of!!0 -
I'd love to scan those bulletins - or any others I could get my hands on. Trouble seems to be in getting them loose from the people who have them. I've repeatedly asked for loans - I sure can't afford to buy everything - and so far only about 2, 3 people have loaned material. It's an uphill battle. Not that I fault people for not wanting to loan material if they plan on selling it - the problem is convincing them that even tho the material might be online that doesn't mean there aren't a lot of people who don't have online access.
I'm working on John O'halloran for stuff in the club library and he has some material ready to send down.
I'll have to drop Carl an email - I have some The Hudson Triangle copies in the library so maybe should send a list to Carl.

I have some from 1928 & 29 that I'd be prepared to lend you, but is it necessary? Could I just send you a scan of them?0
-
Essx28-1 and 53jetman - I'd be obliged if you could do that for me - Scan in jpg format and I can take it from there.
My email is - NEChudsontech09@yahoo.com (Drop the NEC)
Much appreciated - for both me and the club members that will benefit.

Alex - I have several beginning with "Vol. l December 1933 No. 1" of the "Terrraplane Hudson Service and Technical Information", last being "Vol. 1 April-July, 1934 No. 3" in an original dark maroon binder on which in gold lettering is: "TERRAPLANE SERVICE HUDSON".
Do you have these?
I'm going to bring this little binder along with some shop manuals in exc. condition & my dealership clock to San Mateo but don't remember whether you're going or not (reminds me, I better get my registration in).0 -
I would like to find the icon for the library, please help.. Bill0
-
Bill, go to the HET web site - hetclub.org - then click on Library and then on Manuals (Old Site). You have to log in to get to the Library link. Or you can go direct by going to

Pete, I have all of those already - but thank you for the offer. I won't be going to San Mateo, sad to say.
