Dany Spring was making adaptor plates for 700R-4's (think others would work), and Walt Mordenti has had some made, as well. I believe there are a few others, too.0

Now we're talkin..Any 4 or 5 speed conversions being done?0

Heard about somebody using the 5 speeds from old Ranger, Toyota, and Mazda trucks.0

A little update- Wilcap is apparently no longer making the kits, but our very own Randy Maas is going to start making and marketing their kits- www dot 21stcenturyhudson dot net. Someone said the Bentsen kits leave something to be desired, but I don't know personally. I couldn't find anything for Hudson on the advance adapters page- maybe I wasn't holding my mouth right.
Also, there was a post fairly recently about someone adapting a Borg Warner T5 (5 speed OD manual transmission) to the Hudson wet clutch system. I thought I printed out the thread, but apparently not- will have to go back and find it.0 -
Have you considered simply using an overdrive transmission? This would give you 4-speeds, and you could possible use an improved rear end gear to get even more highway speed. This is more or less a "stock" solution without having to go to exotic conversions and the resulting adapters and modifications.0

JonB, I have an overdrive tranny in mine now from the factory, just wondering what else is out there is all....0

I left my Hydro in my car and installed a 2:73 gear ratio in the rear, lost no power and can run 105 all day and get better mileage. Slows the RPM 400 at all speeds, at 60 only turning 2,000 RPM's, 80 is only 2,800. No need for another tranny. Walt0
