This is the closest I've seen,

Somewhere on here there is a photo of one of Frank Kleinig's 8cyl race cars with headers, and the way he did them would have made for very efficient exhaust gas removal. Eight pipes went straight up from the block, looped over the head and were merged on the LH side of the engine.
I have seen an Terraplane race engine with a similar system.0 -
Here's a photo. Kleinig's heavily modified Hudson 8 powered special in 1949.0

Let me try again with Kleinig's motor0

That's wild, Ivan.0

"Ken U-Tx I have a picture somewhere of TK's 38 Hudson eight with headers, Edmunds dual carb intake and Edmunds finned head ....... "
Ken, I would really like to see that picture! That must be a beautiful eight!0 -
I remember "Terraplane" Kellys headers were very close to the Klienig's set.
What a nice sound that car made.0 -
I'd bring the pipes out through the RH hood side panel, collecting them into four or two under the hood, then bringing the four or two out and down into the fender, a la Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg. Was planning to do this on a '35 H coupe a few years ago, but decided I didn't need another project.0
