I knew a sergeant in the Air Force who had come home one day with a Triumph TR-3. His wife looked at it and said, "Either that goes or I do." When I knew him he had had the car for ten years, but not the wife. But my wife likes all things about our Pacemaker.
When I used to visit one of my sisters with the Hudson, my brother-in-law would come out to the car just to smell the old-car smell. Either you like it or you don't.

FYI
I suggest vacuming the whole interior including door panels & headliner then leave all the windows down outside on dry day to air out then Fabreeze like others suggested.
.If that dont work, could be she just prefers the Kaiser... We all have our favorites.......
A Side Note for Walt,
You and your Wife are an Inspiration to me for driving all those cross County trips to the HET Nationals for Years... Your proof that Age is just a Number.... A friend told me that you sailed by him on the Interstate coming from Indiana and co-incidently later stayed at the same motel. Back home he told me all about your Hornet. I hope that you can make several more Nat's....0 -
Thanks OL racer, I'm still ready to travel but M's doctor told me to slow down for awhile till M's back is better. It's killing me but the wife comes first. Walt.0

My wife used to complain about the gas smell in my C8, it was only bad when sitting however. As long as we were moving it did not smell at all or at least as bad. I kept looking for the leak and when the car was warmed up I did not find it. Finally on a cold day I let it run to warm up a few minute and finally saw that the fuel pump was leaking around where the diaphragm was sealed to the pump (actually sandwiched in there). When the car was warmed up it evaporated fast enough that it was not as apparent and the vapors were coming right inside.
The primary reason was the alcohol in the gas had eaten away at the diaphragm and started to leak. It would eventually left me high and dry anyway I guess. However, once I replaced the fuel pump, no more gas smell!!! I would check your fuel pump.0
