Compression ratio Question.

I have read that using a 308 head on a 262 would lower the CR.. What are the numbers? In my case I have a 54 262 that came to me with a 308 aluminum head. Besides the reliability thing .. how much difference would I see compared to a stock cast iron 262? I have both to chose from.

    what would be the compression ratio of a 232 head on a 262? On a 308?

    Ken, have you thought of trying the somender-singh groove method?
    Seems like some Hudson guys had success with that for detonation-pinging-
