Hi Lew,--- Yes I would love to depending on whats out there & at what price. I have considered this modification ever since I bought the car.0

You will need the frame cross shaft, drive shaft, shifter, throttle linkage, pedals & mechanics, transmission, bell housing, fly wheel, clutch, pressure plate, throw-out bearing, clutch cross shaft and mounting, speedo-cable. Now here is the rub. You have Power brakes as I recall. I have only seen one 54 with PB ans std transmission. I would think the pedal assy. would be different as the brake pedal is a swing arm not the 'through the floor' of the regular brake. OF course, unless you change the rear, you would have to find the proper spedo gear for the 3.07 rear.
And... the gross member in the std transmission car is rivited in the car while the auto has 2 stubs rivited to the frame with an insert. I have herd that you can remove the center frame member and bolt in the std transmission one.
I tried it once, and didn't get that far before I sold the car. It isn't just a bolt in swap. AND besides, that would alter an otherwise original car....
But if you do, I have dibbs on the Borg Warner0 -
I went to look at a car a few months ago and it had PB and an overdrive tranny. The car was very poor and that was the only thing interesting about it. Apparently, it happened.0

dwardo99---Where was this Hudson with the power brakes & overdrive located that you had gone to look at & was it a 54 Hornet? Lew---I have thought about all the changes necessary to convert, but would still consider it & if that should happen, you will have first choice on the B.W. transmission.0

Do you know if it also has power steering ?0

Yes it was a '54. I couldn't get the hood open more than a crack so I peered in there and didn't see any sign of a PS pump but it did have Twin-H as I recall. It had been hit so hard on the right front that the engine was moved off of its mounts.0
