Heater hose question 53 Hudson

The large hose in the middle of the firewall behind and below the wiper motor. Is that a drain for the wind vent box?
Question 2 what does the hose that is about 10 inches long and attaches below the hose that goes to the head and makes a u turn and attaches to the side and below the heater hose that goes to the water pump? Mine is leaking and I need to replace it. Any idea what size hose this is?

Joe, : Question one: That is the cowl vent drain hose. Should drain toward the exhaust manifold. Question two: The hose you are likely referring to is the Ranco heater control to lower heater hose. You can get those at NAPA by ordering part # NBH 10826 or Dayco # 87677. You will have to cut one end off to accomodate what you need. They are preformed 'u' shaped hoses.0
