Are all front bumper's the same on stepdowns 48 to 54 ??

    The entire front bumper will interchange from 48-54,however different years had different styles of bumperettes as well as different numbers of them. {Pacemaker style could have two or four]. All use the same bumper retainer brackets and the mounting hardware was the same. The horescollar bumperette on the 51-53 front bumper is one of the toughest pieces to obtain in unmollested shape due to the design of that piece always taking the impact. Much as the 52-53 tailights always getting cracked.

    Although the bumpers have exactly the same shape, the holes for mounting the bumper guards are different . Acording to the parts book ...... 48-49 are the same.PN 213512 .1950 is by it's self PN 220310 and the 51-53 are the same PN 225287and 54 is by it's self PN 225239. The outer bolt holes are the same. just the bumper guard holes are different. As usual I learn things the hard way. I had a 54 bumper on a 49 .In some cases you can redrill the bumper supports to match the bumper.

    the 54 bumper is a one only. they look the same and will bolt on but you cant use any other bumper on a 54, they curl up over the park lights. take it from experience,, BILL ALBRIGHT
