Question on Sealing 29 F Head Copper Gasket
Evening all.
Getting ready to marry 29 F head and block after deep cleaning and valve lapping. Noticed pitting around head/block water passages and have heard of water/oil leaks with these copper gaskets. The gasket set is NOS from Dale Cooper.
I've read that using black RTV around oil/water passages on block/head before installing gasket is one way or a copper spray on both sides of gasket is another. Understand the re-torque process so I plan on that. This is my first F block so please give me some advice on how to proceed.
Thanks
Jack
