fuel sender float?

Hi all,

I have the gas tank out of my 49 Super Six. The sender unit is working but the old float has pinholes and was full of gas.

Has anyone found an off the shelf replacement float? If no one has a number I'll start bugging the local parts guys.... it looks like many other senders from the same era.
