Converting my 47 S6 truck to a S8

Should I move the motor mount 'pans' forward to the radiator holes for the 8 or don't I really need them. Do they need to be welded in place? Anybody got a good way to get them off the present mountings. Shoot, I took a pair off the other truck, now where did I put em?

    Look in the last place you would expect to find them. LOL That's where I usually find things.

    Do like I do.. go looking for something else, like sun visor brackets..Somehow the part you lost appears.

    Uh, OK boys, thanks for the suggestions. I had a Sr. moment there. The pans are necessary, and I found them on the other pickup where they should be. Shouldn't be too hard since I did it once already.
