54 Hor5net Hollywood trunk

I am wondering if our 54 Hornet Hollywood originaly had cardboard on the sides of trunk to hide inner fenders and rear quarter panels Our car had no sign of this but who knows . Ray

    no, the only cardboard is the panel covering the opening into the passenger compartment.

    Ed Burton's 54 Super Wasp Hollywood has side panels and carpet in the trunk. Not original but it looks real nice.

    My Hornet Special had trunk side panels when it came to me. They were laying in the trunk, not at the sides, as I remember. Bruce

    I don't think any of the step downs had inner fender panels in the trunk.. At least my experience.. since 1971. Many have been added over the years and do look nice.
