Two Jakes Silver?

Your question has a good chance of being answered by the late Bill Albright's grandson Jason. Bill prepared and provided both cars were used in "Two Jakes". One of the cars was a '50 Comm. and the other a '50 Pacemaker which was used in cut away and distant shots. After the movie production was completed, the Pacemaker was purchased by the HUDSON' S GRILL restaurant chain .0

My dad sold that car to Bill Albright. It was originally Black. It went to Germany after the movie, and was sold back in the states at Christys auction in the early 2000s. I havent seen it since, but I assume its still stateside. Jason may be able to answer, but I dont think he was involved with the business at that time. Here was the auction pic, at the Bill confirmed that it was the same car. Bill told me that he kept a file on the car, so there may be a record of the paint.0

As it turns out, my former '50 Pacemaker Deluxe was apparently painted in similar colors to the Hudsons used in "The Two Jakes". Don't know what exact colors they were as I was about the 5th or 6th owner of the car which was repainted sometime in the 1970's.

So does anyone know if it was painted an existing Hudson silver or was a custom color?0

If it wasn't the orig. color it was pretty darn close. I used to drool over that car when Bill had it! BTW, it was a 48/9 Comm. 80
