 Hi Guys, I just spoke to one of the Hudson members and he told me about a commercial during the "Super Bowl Game" with the Chevron animated cars and one looked like a 51/53 Hudson. Did anyone else see this commercial???:confused:

  • Might have been the actual ad for "Cars", the Pixar/Disney film coming out this summer. I was watching the game pretty closely, and I don't remember a Chevron commercial.
  • That was the commercial for the Animated Pixar/Disney Movie comming out in the Summer called "CARS"...It features a Hudson
  • Do a search for "Cars" on this forum and you can see another trailer that "Rambo" posted.

Not only is the Hudson featured, I believe it is the star! Voice for the Hudson is Harrison Ford, or maybe Paul Newman- somebody famous, anyhow.
  • The 51 Hudson "Doc" is played by Paul Newman
  • That's right. Doc is voiced by Paul Newman. Doc is a supporting character (local judge in small town). The two main characters are a Nascar voiced by Owen Wilson and a delapidated wrecker voiced by Larry the Cable Guy. Movie is due out July-'06.

This film is going to bring Hudson to the front of the Collector Car world. IT's all about NASCAR and Doc is leading the Way. All the Hudson History about NASCAR is going to be part of the Story line. Should be a great Film...
  • Just Finishing Up A 52 Holllywood In The Same Colors As The Movie Car, Maybe I Can Use It For Some Sommercials Lol Bill A.

Bill, I'm sure that as soon as this movie is launched there will be alot of journalists and media that will want to do some deeper investigative work on Hudson and the Club. I would assume that your Dealership will get alot of notariety. I'm sure the 52 Holywood will get alot of attention.
  • If I'm not mistaken, the movie car is an ALL black 51 Club Coupe Hornet (with no fender skirts). Not to split hairs but big difference between the profile of a Club Coupe and a Hollywood. The movie should be good for all Hudsons. Niels
  • It'll be fun to go to the Drive-In theater with my Hudson to see "Cars"

I'll have to bring a portable radio with me, they transmit the sound over an open FM channel. No more Drive-In speakers!
