Ebay
Is anyone having a similar problem to me.
Has Ebay made a change again?????????????????????????. I can no longer search cars for sale in the US. For instance I used to go to collector cars put in Hudson and I would always get several cars that were for sale. Now I always get the reply no cars for sale. Or I would put in cars before 1939 and get a couple of pages now the answer is always the same nil for sale.
It does not seem to have affected parts and accessories YET !!!!!!!!!. Has Ebay gone mad or just me.

I called their customer support number yesterday and pointed out that I can't do a lot of what I used to be able to do.
Supposedly, they are getting quite a few complaints and are working on bringing back some of the lost functionality.
I'll believe it when I see it though.0 -
Certainly a step backward on the previous format. if you try and delete fit "Fits Hudson" stuff it goes into general ebay and lists all genera stuff like Rock Hudson, Hudson locomotives, bombers, etc, and you then have to go back to ebaymotors. It wasn't broke, I wonder why they fixed it?0

I can still search for US Hudsons from Australia on ebay.com, no differences from here (yet) as far as I can see.
Trevor, I've sent an email.0 -
Lee Odell Thanks that works for Hudson but how would I search for pre 39 cars. This is a nightmare.
46 Hudson PU That search brings up no results0 -
I just enter "Hudson" in to the eBay Motors search rather than "All Cattagories". Them in the results pick "Cars & Trucks"t
Last I looked there was about 17 listed.0 -
I am excluded from what people in the states can search for. I can no longer search Hudson cars for sale. It brings up zero results. I can no longer bring up all pre 1939 cars for sale I get the same result. I have spoken to others who are having the same problem. It appears they are attempting to exclude non US citizens for some reason0

I'm not denying something has gone wrong, just noting that nothing seems to have changed in regards to my visits to Ebay. I type "Hudson, -fits" in the search box. I also click on Auctions Only. This gets me down to (as of today) 424 results including a few Hudson cars, though I have not tried to isolate cars only. It does rid me of most of those annoying pom-poms and chrome plated mudflaps that fit Hudsons (as well as every other car on the road).
At the left side is a place to click on "parts or accessories" or "cars". And when I click on "cars" I'm shown all the Hudsons. (Under those, are a listing of every other kind of car on Ebay.)
Interestingly, I see that I'm not signed in. I don't know what effect it would have, if I signed in.0 -
TRY THIS LINK..SHOULD TAKE YOU DIRECTLY TO THE E BAY HUDSON PAGE THEN BOOKMARK IT http://www.ebay.com/sch/eBay-Motors-/6000/i.html?_nkw=hudson+hudson0

See below, I found this on our local selling site. An ebay seller isn't allowed now to sell a car to a buyer from overseas? Trevor that's why you can't search for cars now, I am in the same situation.
Dear XXXXXX,
Thank you for contacting eBay in regards to your concern. My name is Talia and I would be happy to assist you today. I am very sorry to see that you are upset with the fact that eBay motors is no longer offered to our international members. I can understand how upsetting this is for you especially because you have purchased vehicles in the past with no problems.
As of right now eBay motors is not offered to any of our international members. Another reason on why we had to make this decision is because with international sales there are more international regulations we must abide by. To ensure we are abiding by all these rules we made the decision to no longer offer eBay motors internationally. And as John stated we can't offer Vehicle Protection to international members, which is another reason why this decision was made.
We don't recommend for you to create a new account because you would have to have a shipping address in the U.S. or Canada to access the motors site. Keep in mind that this could change in the future but right now our international members are no longer able to access the motors section. I am sorry for any confusion or inconvenience this caused you. I know how much you wanted to be able to access this portion of the site.
You will still be able to search for parts and accessories for your vehicle on the site. You just need to type what you're looking for in the search box and it will bring up these items in your search like any other item. I hope that I have explained everything clearly. I would like to thank you for allowing me the opportunity to answer your questions today.
Thank you for choosing to buy on eBay, we appreciate your business. I hope you have a great day!
All the best,
Talia V.

I agree with all the comments. I have tried the web page settings as suggested and the result is the same.. I can search the parts for sale but not the cars for sale. If I attempt to put in just Hudson it searches everything but Hudson Cars. Others outside of the US are having the same p[problem. Trevor NZ0

See above I have just read this. What a bunch of half wits. I have purchased two cars for myself and have put several other friends onto cars on Ebay all the purchases have been without trouble. Ebay staff must think the rest of the world is stupid and cant think for themselves and sort out the regulations in their own country. This must be hurting freight companies in the US set up especially to do this sort of thing. I cant believe that the US no longer wants to trade with the rest of the world. I guess Ebay customers must be a little ticked off as well in not being allowed to sell a car world wide0

Just the government's ongoing policy to crush the american economy . I did'nt vote for him.0
-
the sale or non-sale of old cars into foreign countries going to "crush the American economy" ??? whatta laugh!0
-
Well it goes further than just old cars. You cannot look at any cars for sale on the Ebay web site so I would assume ebay is effectively trying to ban the sale of any vehicle to a foreign country through its web site. Ebay staff must think people are stupid. There is always another way its just that ebay was simple0

I am in Ecuador and I haven't had a problem seeing the cars for sale on ebay.
But I sure haven't seen any Hudsons since I've been here! LOL
