hello, i have a '35 t-plane 212 cu in engine. i am in need of an original air cleaner/silencer for that car. my car is a 20 footer, but i continue to try to move it closer to stock rather than farther from stock. i have a very nice period air cleaner from a chevy but i would like a nice original if possible. thank you. regards, tom

  • Tom, I have several from that era . Don't know which years these Hudson/ Terraplane air cleaners go to but if you give me the carb air horn diameter I can see if I have any that match up.

hello, thanks for the reply. the od of the carter carb throat is 2 1/4". there is a picture of the silencer/air cleaner i am looking for on the lubrication chart fold out in the '34-'37 mechanical procedure manual following page 4 section 2...bottom row of images. the chart is for 1936 cars.
    thank you. regards, tom
  • Sorry Tom. Nothing with that diameter. All were larger.

TM, you might try Carl Weber in Massachusetts. He has quite a bit of early-mid thirties stuff. Contact info is in the HET roster.
