NOS 502-S Carter carb question.

Im not happy with the original carb on my 46-8 cyl. I have gone threw it a few times now and have put a new carb kit into it.

My question is, I have a brand new, in the box 502-S carb, box is marked Hudson 8 cyl.
Can I bolt this on without changing any thing?
Will all the adjustments be set up?

I have also added an electric fuel pump. Should I have a pressure regulator in line? And what pressuer should it be set at?

    If the carb was rebuilt many years ago, the gaskets and seals may no longer be any good. Plus, they may not work with ethanol in the gasoline, assuming you live in an area where that is being used.

    I HAVE A FEW QUESTIONS FOR YOU AS TO YOUR PROBLEMS WITH THE CARB YOU HAVE NOW YOU SAY YOU REBUILT IT DID YOU USE A KIT THAT IS OR WAS ETHANOL FRIENDLY PARTS MOST OF THE OLDER KITS DO NOT HAVE PARTS THAT ARE FRIENDLY PARTS THE ONLY KIT I KNOW OF THAT IS MADE WITH THESE PARTS IS MADE BY DAYTONA CARBURATOR IF YOU STILL HAVE TROUBLES WITH THE NOS CARB ( I'M GUESSING YOU WILL AS IT IS MOST LIKELY IT'S NOT BUILT WITH PARTS THAT WILL WORK WELL WITH THIS NEW GAS I WOULD REBUILD THE NEW ONE BEFORE INSTALLING IF YOU NEED A KIT EMAIL ME I CARRY THEM IN STOCK) HETHUDSON1957@AOL.COM

    I am going to try putting a pressure regulator on the old carb first to see if that helps.
    But in the mean time I will put new guts for new fuel in my new 502-s.
