Ran when parked. . . ?

Someone posted this on a tractor board I frequent. When I saw the open bell housing, I immediately thought "Hudson", and the poster said that Terraplane was cast into the head.

  • MERCY; restore before it's too late!
  • I have that picture as the front page on my laptop.
    love it!
  • Makes a good planter box. The tree has found plenty parts to feed on.

  • Literally "three on the tree".... ;)
  • If I remember right, this used to be a '37(?) Terraplane. I remember it because the owner renovated the garage that it sits next to and there used to be a huge blog about the shop and it's makeover on the internet. It might have been on the H.A.M.B. in the garage section. An astonishing change. The entire place used to have stuff piled up everywhere! I think the owner hauled away something like 10 tons of scrap metal and used the money in the restoration. What was once a dingy, rat-ridden pile of messes became a bright, open well-organized place to work with some cool, refurbished old equipment, a retro-style lift, etc.
  • Garage journal, ( HAMB sister site) I think the link was on here a few years back;

  • That's it! My memory served me right. Really enjoyed that blog. Thanks faustmb.
  • The add could read: The wood is good! Michel
  • and "Dash was originally woodgrained on this model",....
  • I'm pretty sure that's a 39 chassis with a Terraplane head or engine installed.
    I talked to them and he said he had found a Terraplane title when cleaning out the garage,
    so he figured it was a Terraplane. It has column shift and I believe a 39 rear bumper.
    That photo has been on many auto sites. He cut down many trees, but left that one for the display. His thread has over a million views.
  • Reminds me of my father-in-law and the Ford A model he was going to restore.
  • Never ever seen such an advanced tree in a car before !!
    In some cases, the trees are by far older and bigger, the cars are in a much better shape...
  • I found two of 'em like that.
