Route 66 Mother Road Festival...

The 1st show of My Classic Car '06 was at the Route 66 Mother Road Festival - they didn't profile the car but at the start of the show in the background (and several other backshots) there was a nice looking Marron 48-49 4dr with a big stuffed toy dog hanging out the passenger rear window. There was also an informational sign on the front of the car and I think the license plate color was yellow or gold.

Just curious if this is anyones car on the forum or a known car...?

    There was a nice full screen shot of what looked like a 37 Hudson coupe as well. Two Hudsons in one show, not bad! :)

    I think the 37 Hudson (actually a Terraplane) coupe belongs to Pat & Terry Meier over in Decatur, IL.

    However, that said I'm not sure, because the last time I saw Terry's (she, by the way - her mother couldn't spell, she says, LOL) coupe it was blue and Pat was working on restoring it.

    That was MY baby you saw on the show. I am Terry Meier in Decatur IL. My husband has done all the work on my 37 Terraplane coupe. He was at the RT 66 cruise and off talking to some friends. My classic car was taking shoots of MY coupe and asking questions of those around it but Pat didn't get back in time to talk to Dennis. We are told he waited around the coupe for a good half hour. Maybe we will get another chance. We just got it on the road, last spring so not bad for her first year out. Still needs things done to her, including the interior!! I drive it to work, to the grocery store and for the fun of it. Pat and I took it to Evansville IN, Quincy IL and to Peoria among local crusies. I am dying to get her out again very soon.

    Nice car Terry! Congrats on the National exposure. I've seen the episode twice and enjoy pointing it out to whoever is watching with me.

    Thanks Gregg. I am really proud of the work Pat has done and enjoy taking the coupe out whenever I can.

    Terry we will be looking for the coupe at the Central region meetin Sheffield AL this june
