Question On Glass Channel??

I am restoring a 54 Hornet. I need to redo door glass and of course all channel. Can someone recommend where to buy the best channel. I know K Cap has it, but are there others?? Does anyone sell with instructions.Does in come in a kit for 4Dr??

    I took a piece of channel and anti rattle strip to my local glass shop and got no help. Then I went to a shop that does street rods and got everything I needed.

    Guy at my local glass shop got everything for me. Pulled out an old catalog looked up the number then cross ref to new number ordered the stuff I got it a week later.

    I don't know it you are in southern California but there is a guy at Pomona swap meet who has all the stuff. He was at the San Diego meet last weekend. I have purchased all the stuff for my 53 and 46 from him. It turns out that almost everone used the same stuff from the 30s on up. There is very little variation on some makes and models. The best way I found is to take the old stuff with you and match it up. remember there are two types on you car the flexable channel and the ridgid stuff next to the wing window. Bring samples of both. It cost me $8 for an 8 foot lenght of each.

    Try Restoration Specialties www.restorationspecialties.com They have everything that you need. They also have the oval bolts for the rear bumpers on stepdowns.

    AND their channell comes with instructions. The most important thing is to open up the metal where it has been chopped off so it can slide on the fabric when you make the corner. Otherwise it will kink.
